September 19th (Monday): ONI Special Event- Harlem Ambassador Basketball, 7:00 PM, location Papillion LaVista Monarch High school. Any child who is visually impaired or other disability will be given a ticket, the parents would have to purchase a ticket.
-September 31st (Thu)--through Oct. 1st (Fri)- NCBVI: Training for Blind Vendors and individuals interested in Vending.
-October 13-14-15-16 (Thu-Sun)- NFB State convention: In Lincoln at the Corn Husker Hotel. Friday, workshops on home maintenance, diabetes care, parents of blind children, access technology, older blind and Saturday, general session.
October 15th (Saturday): 6:00 PM. Join us at the 2011 Outlook Nebraska, Inc Banquet and Dine to Celebrate the Capabilities of the Blind! For just $50 per ticket or $500 per table of ten, you can take in the accomplishments of ONI, its associates and others that value the impact ONI is able to make on the lives of the blind. The evening will include a cash bar reception, banquet, awards and guest speaker. It will be held at the Ramada Plaza Omaha Hotel and Convention Center at 72nd and Grover Street. Funding from the event will benefit opportunities for the blind and visually impaired to break through the barriers of economic and personal independence.
